
On Wednesday, the Madras High Court surrendered the performance of the Minister of Water Resources Duraimurugan and his wife D. Shanthakumari before a special court for the prevention of the Corruption Act in Chennai in connection with the disproportionate case of assets that was booked against them.
Justice N. Sathish Kumar approved a provisional order under a petition submitted to the accused who questioned the rejection of a special court in Chennai to transfer court proceedings in the case of corruption to a special court for Members in Vellore, because the chairman of the accused was MLA and Minister.
After hearing the arguments filed by the leader P. Wilson, to support the transfer of the transfer, the judge ordered another KMD prosecutor Muhilan to ensure that he would undergo a detailed countermeasure by 22 October against corruption until 22 October.
