On Sunday (June 22, 2025), the left side strongly condemned US strikes at nuclear places in Iran and said this step was a serious violation of Iranian sovereignty and the UN Charter.
“The unpleasant five left -wing parties strongly condemn the bombing of the United States. It is a grave of violation of Iranian sovereignty and the UN Charter and provokes global tension, destabilizes Western Asia and has serious economic consequences,” they said.

The statement was issued together by the Communist Party of India (Marxist), the Indian Communist Party, the Indian Communist Party (Marxist Leninist) Liberation, the Revolutionary Socialist Party and the forward block.
Five left pages said the US and Israel justify their attacks by claiming that Iran was on the brink of nuclear weapons. “This clearly shows that the US axis of Israel is little treated for its own intelligence or any diplomatic process and intends to store the war of Iran and the whole West Asian region. It is clear that Iran is to destroy Iran, establish an imperialist hegemony over Western Asia.
“This attack is aimed at serving the interests of the military industrial complex and allowing international capital to walk from the extended crisis,” he said.
The left sides compared the situation with an American invasion of Iraq, which is stated that it was made on “similarly unverified claims, which was later proven as false”.
“It is ironic that the US, the only country that has ever used a nuclear weapon – although Japan was ready to negotiate at the end of World War II – now talking about the threat of nuclear weapons!” They said.
The left side said that the US attack would most likely drastically escalate conflict with disastrous consequences for global peace and the livelihood of ordinary people, especially in countries such as India, which are strongly relying on West Asia for oil imports and opportunities for migrant workers.
“The already blocked working masses will be the worst affected economic fallout of the war,” they said.
They argued that the Indian government should “immediately leave its pro-USA, a pro-Israeli attitude of foreign policy and join the global effort to stop war”.
“We are inviting all our units to immediately organize protest actions against this act of imperialist aggression and urgent all people loving peace in our country to join us in the conviction of the US attack,” the parties said.
In the paper on X, the Secretary General of CPI (m) Ma Baby said: “Economic and political fallout will be global, even for India. The US has proved to be Rogue State No. 1.
The Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) General Secretary of Dipankar Bhattachary said in his statement: “The US has now attacked Iran. After the destruction of Iraq, Libya and Syria, American agraimal aggression wants to destroy and destabilize and subdue the whole of West Asia.”
“The peace -loving people of the world must condemn this obvious aggression aggression. India must not support the American and Israeli axis in this absolutely unfair war and require the immediate termination of the imperialist invasion of Iran,” added Mr. Bhattacharya.
The US bombarded three nuclear places in Iran overnight, warning Mr. Trump against other strikes if Iran retaliation.
