On Wednesday, Russia launched a record 728 drones in Ukraine, which meant the latest in a number of escalating air attacks.
The disastrous attack occurred several hours after US President Donald Trump committed more defensive weapons to Kiev and ordered unusually sharp criticism with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
While Kyiv’s army managed to go down almost all drones, some of the six hypersonic missiles released by Russia caused unspecified damage.
Victims reported
Extensive attacks resulted in the fact that one person was dying of the tronnual debris in Western Ukraine, Reuters reported.
Closer to the battle zone, eight people were reported to kill drones and led bombs in the Ukrainian part of the Nonetsk Frontline region.
Part of the Russian night strike was focused on the northwest city of Lutsk, near Poland of NATO, where about 50 Russian drones and five missiles started.

Although the strike was the largest of the war, no death or injuries were reported.
Only buildings were damaged, including the storage facility of the local enterprise and some parking structures that set fire, said the mayor of Ihor Polishchuk.
Zelenskiy requires “biting sanctions”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenka, who is preparing to meet with the American ambassador Keith Kellogg in Rome before the assembly of the countries friendly to Ukraine, said the strike emphasized the need to “bite sanctions” at Russia’s income, including countries buying Russian oil.
Zelenskiy also met Pope Leo, who offered to organize peace interviews in the Vatican, an offer he considered “completely possible”, but noted that Russia has yet refused, the press agency reported.
Trump’s shift attitude against Russia
President Trump, who returned to power this year, promised the rapid end of the conflict, formerly taken a conciliation tone towards Moscow compared to its predecessor Joe Biden, who supported Kiev.
On Tuesday, however, he stated that he could support a bill that would impose steep sanctions on Russia, including 500 % of tariffs on nations that buy Russian oil, gas, uranium and other exports, Reuters said.

He also expressed frustration against the Russian president and said, “We will get a lot of thrown shoes Putin … He is still very nice, but it turned out to be insignificant.”
When Trump pressed the details of his action against Putin, he said, “I wouldn’t tell you. We want to have a little surprise.”
Answers of international players
It seems that the promise of the US President will reverse the Pentagon decision to stop some critical supplies of ammunition to Ukraine.
Europe also works independently on sanctions against Moscow.
However, the initial rounds of interviews between Russia and Ukraine have so far brought small fruit, while Moscow has not yet been accepted by the unconditional ceasefire designed by Trump and received Kiev.

Shortly after Wednesday’s attack by the German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said that the diplomatic solutions of the end of the war were exhausted and promised to continue supporting Kiev.
Merz said he would offer an air defense systems on Thursday in Ukraine in Ukraine, the press agency reported.
