HUNTING TIAL
Archakas on Friday staged a sit-in for a short time outside the entrance of the famous Kondagattu hill shrine to protest what they termed the “disrespectful behaviour” of temple head Srikanth Rao towards them.
According to sources, the incident took place around noon when the temple was bustling with dozens of devotees waiting in long queues.
The aggrieved archakas of the hill shrine squatted outside the temple entrance for some time to register their protest against the “rude conduct” of the temple EO. After assuring the relevant senior officials that they would look into the matter, they relented.
Earlier in the day, the TDP cadre performed a special puja at the hill shrine on the occasion of the birthday of Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokeš.
It may be mentioned here that Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan laid the foundation stone for a 96-seat shed and Deeksha Viramana Mandapam at an estimated cost of ₹ 35.19 crore, funded by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on January 3 at Kondagattu.
