Director Agriculture Manazir Jeelani Samoon said that the services of Kisan drones can now be availed from anywhere in the state through the mobile application ‘Kisan Drones’, which is a major step in the digital transformation of agriculture.
On Thursday Dr. Samoon reviewed the Digital Crop Survey (DCS) registration process under the new version of e-Crop App during a field visit to a maize farm at Pedakakani in Guntur district. He personally inspected the upgraded e-Crop web and mobile applications and reviewed the real-time monitoring system implemented for Rabi season 2025-2026.
It explored a three-phase SMS alert mechanism that included field visit and crop registration alerts by Rythu Seva Kendra (RSK) assistants, instant SMS alerts after crop booking with verification link and farmer confirmation via link.
He verified these alerts on the mobile phone of farmer Ala Malleswara Rao and checked the confirmation message sent after successful upload of data and completion of e-KYC.
In cooperation with farmers Dr. Samoon secured support for the provision of subsidized agricultural machinery and tools. He also asked about AP Farmer Registry ID and early recognition of benefits of Annadata Sukhibhav and PM-KISAN.
He advised farmers against excessive use of urea and stressed the importance of balanced fertilizer application for soil health. He said drone services for spraying and monitoring can now be booked like taxi services through the app.
