The Kayakalpam initiative will be launched in other districts from July

Health Minister K. Muraleedharan said the Health Department’s public awareness initiative ‘Kayakalpam’, which was launched in Kozhikode on Tuesday (June 9, 2026), will be held in other districts from July.

A statement quoting the minister said on Wednesday (June 10, 2026) that steps would be taken to inspect the condition of government hospital buildings in Kozhikode district. A list of equipment required for various hospitals would be prepared. Taluk Government Hospital at Thamarassery would be developed as a specialized headquarters hospital. There the staffing pattern would be revised.

A proposal would be made to build a mobile tribal unit shelter at the Valayam Family Health Center using MP Shafi Parambila’s funds. An ambulance would be provided to the Community Health Center in Thiruvangoor using the funds of K. Praveenkumar, MLA.
