The High Court in Karnataka remained terminated by the permission to run the Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Jan Aushadhi Kendras in the premises of centers and hospitals in the field of public health in different parts of the state.
Justice ARUN approved the provisional order for petitions submitted by ASHA and 17 others questioned the announcement of the government on May 14th.
The petitioners, especially from the districts of Bidar, Raichur, Yadgir and Kalaburagi, argued that the termination of the permit that was granted to them was provided by these kendras that influenced their right to livelihoods because these centers initiated and secured laws.
The statement of the state government ordered the health authorities to reject the ongoing requests for the opening of new Kendras in the state enterprises of the state and to terminate agreements with existing Kendras depending on the time lifes listed in the memorandum of understanding.
Jan Aushadhi Kendras’s decision was adopted, referring to complaints that patients received doctors to buy drugs from outside, even if they were to be provided free of charge in government hospitals. The state government asked the health authorities to buy generic drugs from the Indian Pharmaceutical Public Sectors Office and issue them to patients without costs.
