The Kannur University Syndicate has ordered an investigation into the K-Reap software issues

The first syndicate meeting of Kannur University, constituted after the new government took office, decided to look into the issues related to the K-Reap software used to record marks in the university’s examinations following complaints from teachers and students.

The syndicate tasked its examination sub-committee to study the software problems and submit a report.

The meeting also mandated the Standing Committee on Works and Planning to investigate the unauthorized removal of artefacts from the Folklore Center at Thavakkara, recently inaugurated by the Chancellor, and the reported renovation of the rented residence of former Vice-Chancellor Prof. Gopinatha Ravindran for using university funds.

The Syndicate approved the appointment of Abdul Jaleel as Principal of Arabic College, Paral.

It also decided to inform the post of Controller of Examinations.

The meeting noted that the results of various university examinations were released and nine research degrees were awarded.
