The civic judge in Madhya Pradesh submitted her resignation to the authorities after the judicial official who allegedly harassed her was recently made by the judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
According to a report on the Bar and the additi Kumar Sharma bench, she offered her resignation hours after the appointment of the district judge Rajesh Kumar Gupty under the judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
Sharma had previously accused Gupt of harassment. The newly promoted judge Madhya Pradesh HC still has to fold an oath.
A Member’s Resignation Letter
Additi Kumar Sharma, in his resigning letter to the main judge Madhya Pradesh HC, said the justice “lost his way”.
“With every ounces of my moral forces and emotional exhaustion, I resign from the court service not because I lost faith in justice, but because justice lost its way within the institution itself to protect it,” she wrote, according to the Bar and the Lavy.
She appointed her decision to leave her role “statement of protest”.
“Let him remain in your archive as a reminder that the judge was a woman in Madhya Pradesh, who had given her court, and was broken by a system that preached him loudly,” Sharma added.
She also wrote: “Shri Rajesh Kumar Gupta, who organized my suffering, was not questioned, was rewarded, recommended, raised, given the pedestal instead of the summoning. The word”.
The civic judge accused the court system of refusing to “protect one of your own” and “to observe the principles you preach”.
“You refused to be where it mattered most.”
At the beginning of this year, addi Kumar Sharma was in a number of complaints inviting President of India and the Supreme Court Collegium to reconsider the decision to elevate Gupta as a judge of HC.
Two other judicial officers also filed detailed complaints about Rajesh Kumar Gupta’s behavior, Bar and Bench reported.
However, there was no indication that the authorities would initiate proceedings against the judge. Gupta denied all the accusations against him and said he lived his life “as holy”.
