On Wednesday (September 10), the state government appointed B. Dinesh as SRI Director Jayadev Institute for Cardiovascular Science and Research.
Dr. Dinesh, who currently works as a professor of cardiology in Jayadev’s unity of Mysur, was among the three leading runners for the director’s post office. The other two were AC Nagamans (cardiology) and B. Girish (Cardiotoracic Surgery) – both from Jayadeva Bengaluru.
The appointment of the regular Institute director, which was to be completed last Thursday, was left in the stay after the stay obtained by one of the 11 applicants who were asked last week by the selection committee.
The Jayadeva Institute has been operating under the administration of the authorized KS director Ravindranath since January last year after the former CN Manjunath director completed his extended term of 31 January 2024.
