The Special Meeting of Syndicates, which took place on Monday at Keral University (KU) to discuss the announcement of the Governor’s Controversial Promotion show, changed chaotic because left -wing members joined heated exchanges with the Vice -Rector (compulsory) Mohanan Kunnummal.
The line focuses on supporting a member of the Syndicate S. Nazeeb, who is also the Secretary -General of the Federation of University Teachers of the Association (Futa).
Dr. Nazeeb, a professional assistant at the Ministry of Kerala Studies, previously asked the Syndicate to have a nearly 18 -month contract of contracting service to Sree Sankachary University of Sanskrit, which participated in his career scheme as a “past service” for promotion.
At the last November at a Syndicate meeting, the vice -rector refused to issue orders to decide on the promotion of Dr. Nazeeb and quoted that his past experience did not fulfill the Commission for University Grants (UGC). This matter was later transferred to the Governor for inspection. While Dr. Nazeeb turned to the High Court in Kerala against the alleged inactivity of the vice -chairman, the court ordered which the governor should decide.
The Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI (M))-Members of Syndicate supported the Governor’s objections on Monday and claimed that the Syndicate’s decision should stand. The tension escalated when a futile attempt was made to adopt a resolution against the vice -rector. Members supported BJP opposed the movement of the syndicate and claimed that promotion would break the UGC instructions.
