Institute of Himachal Pradesh University (HPUILs), Shimla appeared as a winner in the first edition of the “Ahilya Bai Holkar Legal Excellence Moot Court”, which took place here at the Supreme Court Himachal Pradesh.
The HPUILs team, which includes Vibhav Vasudev, Varsha Bhargav and Himani Bhagat, secured the first position in the Moot court competition that attracted students from all over the state to prove their legal skills and defense. The event was organized by the Adhivakta Parisad Himacal Pradesh High Court Unit aimed at providing a platform for aspirating lawyers to engage in complex legal scenarios in a simulated courtroom and chaired higher defense and legal luminaires.
“Students from the University of Institute of Legal Studies, Shiml, packed their first position in the competition, while the finalist was secured by a team from the Ministry of Law, Himacal Pradesh University (HPU),” said Avinash Jariyal, Secretary General of the Adhivakta Parisad, Sunday (March 31, 2025). The competition gave students the opportunity to participate in legal discourse and pay tribute to Ahilyabai to the girl for the 300.
The competition, which took place on March 30, in a number of events celebrating International Women’s Day, was a challenging problem for women focused on women and encouraged participants to immerse themselves in complex legal issues and politics. Teams of eight legal schools and universities from all over the state, including HPuils, Shimla; Bahara University, Waknaghat; APG University, Shimla; Regional Center of University Himachal Pradesh, Dharamshala; LR Institute of Legal Studies, Solan; School of Law, Skoolini University, Solan; DDM Sai Law College, Hamirpur; and the Ministry of Law, HPU, Shimla.
