The inhabitants of Kundagal in Nagara Hosanagar Taluk feared landslides, called on the state government to send a team of experts to study the ground situation.
The hills in the village developed huge cracks and part of it was displaced, so the inhabitants shocked. Especially people who cultivated in the area were afraid of protecting their land.
Kundagal visited the MLA for Tirthahalli Araga Jnanendra on Tuesday and communicated with the villagers. Looked at the place.
When he talked to reporters, Mr. Jnanendra said that the place had small cracks last year and people felt that it would not cause much damage. This time, however, at the beginning of the monsoon developed a hill of wide cracks.
“One can see how part of the hill slips due to rains. Damage can deteriorate because the village is located in an area with a high collision,” he said.
M. JNanendra asked the district administration and officials of the Ministry of Geology to study the situation and send a team of experts. “Most cultivators in the village are small farmers. They have no alternative sources of income. If necessary, the government should provide them with appropriate compensation and move them to a safe place,” he said.
