The Indian Foreign Service (IFS) offers an exceptional career path where diplomacy, international relations and national interests intersect, Yeeva Maria Joy, an IFS officer who cleaned the state services in the second attempt, said on Saturday at the Hinda State Survey 2025.
Exploring the complexity of IFS was one of the most respected aspects of its preparation, she said. She observed that the role of an IFS officer was versatile, stating that the diplomatic world requires a unique mixture of strategic thinking of skills, effective communication and an eager understanding of global policy.
