The Indian football body falls Isl from 2025-26 calendar, the future of the league in doubt

The All India football Federation has abandoned its highest tournament-Indian Super League-its list for 2025–26. AFF, in an official edition, released its calendar for 2025–26, which did not appear competition, which has been running since 2014.

According to media reports, uncertainty occurs over the future of the Indian Super League. The league organizers have been informed several clubs that next season will not start until the clarity of the Master’s rights agreement (MRA), according to Tech Word News. Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL) – a joint venture between Reliance and Star – manages Isl and serves as a commercial partner of the All India (AIFF) football Federation. In 2010, the FSDL signed a 15 -year MRA S AFF in 2010, according to which the Federation of either RS 50 Crore pays per year or 20% of total income, depending on what is higher. This agreement will be expired in December 2025.

“Since last week, higher FSDL officials have met the owners of clubs individually and informed them that ISL will not start unless the future of MRA is clarified,” said the toi source.

“It is well known that MRA cannot be completed overnight. And with the Supreme Court, it expects to decide on the new AIFF constitution soon, there is widespread uncertainty,” the source added.
