The upcoming Axiom Space missions at the International Space Station, bearing Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, was postponed until 10 June.
Originally scheduled to start on June 8, the mission will now raise the mission two days later on board SpaceX Falcon-9 Rocket from NASA Kennedy Space Centers in Florida, PTI said.
Four decades after the cult Rrakesh Sharma spacecraft on board the spacecraft in 1984 in 1984, the astronaut will be the second Indian who travels to space.
In addition to Shukl, who is a mission for Axiom-4 mission, other crew members include Slawosz aidski-Wisniewski from Poland and Tibor Kapu from Hungary.
SHUBHAM SHUKLA experiments on ISS
Shukla is expected to perform exclusive experiments related to food and nutrition developed in cooperation between the Indian cosmic research organization (ISRA) and the Ministry of Biotechnology (DBT) with NASA support.
The Minister of Science and Technology Jitendra Singh said that Shaubhanshu Shukla experiments are of immense importance for future space missions, including the Gaganyaan project.
Shukla’s research will also focus on dysfunction of skeletal muscles in space and on the evaluation of therapeutic strategies that will face these effects, Jitendra Singh told journalists.
The Indian astronaut will study physical, cognitive and physiological reactions in the universe, as well as the impact of continuous electronic displays in microgravity, which is an important aspect of future space missions with long duration, PTI said.
Axiom-4 missions
Astronauts Axiom-4 (AX-4) will perform approximately 60 scientific studies and activities representing 31 countries during their 14-day stay in the ISS.
As part of the mission, ISRA outlined plans to focus on scientific studies focused on India, including experiments including germination of Methi (Fenugreek) and Moong (Green Gram) in microgravity conditions, PTI reported.
