All selected candidates were given his job orders in the program held in Vishan Juděh for the purpose of publishing a book on the success of the Ministry of Income in the last two years.

While he stated that the state had a total of 9,834 VAO jobs, he said that while 8 003 VAO was already working, another 1,000 will join them. The government would ensure that none of these contributions remain unoccupied, he said.
The Minister of Income Krishna Byre Gowda said that this process was so transparent and crazy that no one, including himself could manipulate him at the highest level.
He pointed out that previously such recruitment was held at the district level, and said that the ministry took the initiative at the state level recruitment through the Karnataka Office to fill such a record number of contributions. “Up to 6,33,916 members applied for 1,000 contributions, resulting in a hard competition, which followed the selection of only 0.0016% of candidates,” he said.

Meanwhile, 4,000 VAOs were provided on this occasion as part of a government initiative to digitize the functioning of the income department to the village level. He stressed that VAO was currently spent most of the time commuting to the Taluk offices to either collect or supplied Tapals (official letters), said such an archaic practice delayed the process of liquidating petitions presented by people.
