The Sambhal district in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday (October 2, 2025) demolished the double hall and Madrassa illegally placed on the pond in the village of Raa Ya below the Asmoli Police Station.
The District Administration also gave four days to eliminate the intervention from the mosque built illegally on the reserved land.
Members of the Committee reportedly launched the demolition process themselves, the officials said.
The then Dhirendra Pratap Singh said his court ordered the demolition of the marital hall, along with the removal of illegally constructed mosques on the reserved land.
“The double hall, built about 2,300 square mm, was demolished. The Committee asked for the mosque to eliminate the intervention, which was awarded by the district judge. Since then, he has since voluntarily dismantled the structure,” Singh said.
He added that two notifications were previously issued to the inhabitants, and although they appeared in the proceedings, they could not submit ownership documents. The second order was issued on 2 September, followed by a 30 -day postponement period.
The structure of the mosque occupies around 550 m2, said Mr. Singh.
Yaseen, a member of the Mosque Committee and Resident in the village of Raa Ya Buzurg, confirmed that the administration had been reached by an agreement on land release within four days.
“We started the process of dismantling the mosque ourselves,” he said.
Superintendent police Krishna Kumar Vishnoi said that the country in question is classified as a pond area.
“Although the 30 -day announcement of voluntary removal of the intervention of the intervention was not taken, no measures were taken. Then the administration continued with demolition. Supervision of drones was used in this area and public announcements were made in nearby villages,” he said.
He added that both the double hall and Madrassa were considered illegal and have now been removed by the team to remove penetration.
District Judge Rajendra Peasiya said that anti-enable units are underway throughout the district. “According to Section 67, a notification concerning the plot number 691 was issued, which is registered as a pond coverage of 2 310 square mm.”
“The case has been heard in the last three to four months and 30 days were awarded for compliance. The team for today’s demolition was present on the spot,” he added.
