The Hyderabad International Short Film Festival will be held from December 19 to 21 at Screen No. 4 and 5 of the Multiplex at Prasad.
According to the organizers, the festival was conceived to place Hyderabad firmly on the map of world cinema while providing a platform for young filmmakers to showcase their work and engage with film industry professionals.
A special pavilion focused on filmmakers from the Northeast is planned as part of the festival. The pavilion will showcase emerging talent from the region and highlight both content and cultural expression through short films.
The inaugural edition of the festival received 704 entries from around the world. From these submissions, 60 short films were selected for official screening, along with 11 films under the focused North East Pavilion. Five classic films will also be screened during the festival, the report said.
