The department of Hindu religious and charity foundations (HR & CE) by 2026 competes to complete 4,000 initiation of the temple.
August 29 was held 3503. By September 14, at least 181 would be added to the list.
Among the 3503 temples were 543 dedicated to perumal, 493 Lord Ganesha, 1045 Amman, 738 to Easware, 157 Ayanar and 133 Lord Murug.
“Temples that did not spoil Kudamuzhuk for a long time have priority. Among the 507 temples that are 1000 years old and require renewal, we have so far made a strengthening for 68 temples.
“These events, which usually take place every 12 years, increase the number of devotees who visit these temples. For example, after a recent Kudamuzhukka to Sri Subramanyaswami temple in Thirchendur, except for the day of the ceremony, Temple has visited in the last 48-50 days,” he said.
