
A campaign to provide Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine to all girls aged 14 will be launched at Ernakulam General Hospital (GH) on Saturday (February 28, 2026) at 2 pm. The campaign aims to vaccinate 15,934 children in the district.
The event is part of the Ministry of Health’s nationwide vaccination campaign, which starts on Saturday, to provide a single dose of HPV vaccination to all girls aged 14 within three months.
Free HPV vaccination facilities are available at all government health centres. To book a vaccination, register on the U-WIN portal. The device is available on the website of the statement issued by the district doctor for information.
Vaccination has been recommended by the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (NTAGI) and the World Health Organization.
