The High Court in Kerala limited the construction of toll squares by the National Motorway Office of India (Nhai) in Kumbale, Kasaragod.
This was followed by a petition filed by Ashraf Muhammed on behalf of the Action Committee created in this respect, cited that there is a toll square in Talapadi, which is almost 20 km from Kumbala. The petitioner stated that the new toll square was built in violation of the rules set by the distance of 60 km between two tolls.
