
Heavy rains brought the farmers relief in the northern carnation and at least temporarily ended the lack of water in the region. Water levels in rivers and tanks increased.
The water level in the Krishna River has increased by approximately 4 ft over the last 10 days due to heavy rains in Karnataka and Maharashtra, the officials said.
The water levels in the tributaries of Krishna, such as Dudha Ganga, Ghataprabha and the Gang Vedus, also increased slightly.
The water level in the Raja Lakhamagouda tank cost 48.9 TMCFT compared to the full level of 51 TMCFT and the drain was at 141 cusec.
The water level in the Renuka Sagar dam over Malaprabha was around 10 TMCFT compared to the coarse capacity of 37 TMCft. However, water levels increase due to continuous rains in the Khanapore region, the officials said.
