Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) chief Seeman lost his cool and engaged in a long-winded fight with a Tamil news channel reporter on Sunday.
The incident occurred during a press conference organized by the party on the sidelines of a consultative meeting of officials from Puducherry and Cuddalore ahead of the 2026 Legislative Assembly elections at a private hall in Villianur.
Addressing a press meet, Mr. Seeman got into a pointed spat with a private TV channel journalist when the latter raised questions about the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise and the Centre’s rejection of the Metro Rail project proposals for Coimbatore and Madurai.
Mr. Seeman lost his cool and verbally attacked the journalist and asked to be excluded from the meeting. There was commotion at the place after the NTK party cadres tried to force the journalists out of the place.
Meanwhile, various journalistic organizations have condemned Mr. Seeman’s outburst at the media personality. Leader of the Opposition in Puducherry R. Siva also condemned the incident
