VIZIANAGARAM:
MSME and NRI Affairs Minister Kondapalli Srinivas on Sunday inaugurated a book exhibition organized by Vizianagaram Writers Association. Speaking on the occasion, he said that cultivating the habit of reading promotes peace of mind and enables individuals to acquire knowledge and life skills. He stressed that leisure reading is necessary to overcome the daily stress in life and suggested parents and teachers to encourage children to read ethics-related books and comics.
Former DVG MP Sankara Rao said that children who develop the habit of reading themselves are more likely to become responsible citizens. Association president GVSrinivas said that books are being sold at half the actual prices to inculcate the habit of reading among people.
Senior writers like SSSS Raju, NK Babu, Sirela Sanyasi Rao, Badri Kurma Rao, Dasari Padma, Kusumanchi Sridevi and others showcased their books at the exhibition.
