The Gunadala Lourdu Matha festival will be celebrated from February 9 to 11

Vijayawada Telagathoti Catholic Diocese Bishop Joseph Raja Rao said that the 102nd Gunadala Lourdu Matha festival will be celebrated from February 9 to 11 at the Gunadala shrine.

The Bishop along with Catholic Diocesan Monsignor Muvvala Prasad, Gunadala Eleti Temple Rector Willian Jayaraju, Vicar General M. Gabriel and others launched the festival posters at the Social Services Center here on Monday.

The Gunadala Utsava Committee is making arrangements for devotees to attend the festival. Bishops from different places will pray and deliver messages, the bishop said.

Devotees from Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and other places in Andhra Pradesh will perform special prayers during the utsavams, organizers said. The temple management is making arrangements for supply of drinking water, milk for children and medicine in case of emergency, said Mr. Joseph Raja Rao.

Mr. William Jayaraju said that APSRTC will run special buses for the utsavams and the church management has coordinated with Revenue, Police, AP-Transco, Vijayawada Municipal Corporation and other departments to make the event run smoothly.
