
Governor Jishnu Dev Varma on Monday presented the 2025 Governor’s Excellence Awards, which recognize individuals and organizations whose work has brought significant and lasting change in women’s empowerment, tribal development, rural health and medical philanthropy and corporate volunteerism.
During an ‘At Home’ reception at Lok Bhavan, where the Governor welcomed eminent citizens, senior officials and guests from various walks of life, he presented these awards, which carry a cash prize of ₹2,000 each and a citation. Ramadevi Kanneganti, founder-president of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Andhra Pradesh (ALEAP), was felicitated in individual categories for her pioneering efforts in empowering women through entrepreneurship and leadership.
Tribal Development Honors went to Todasam Kailash, a member of the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) of Thoti community in Adilabad district, for his contribution towards uplifting tribal livelihoods. Dr. Pradyut Waghray received the Rural Health and Medical Philanthropy Award for his sustained service through the Kailashnath Charitable Trust, which has expanded access to healthcare in remote and underserved areas. In the corporate volunteering category, V. Rajanna was recognized for strategic and compassionate leadership in company-led social initiatives that have strengthened community resilience and improved public well-being.
Organizational excellence was also widely recognized. Sai Social Empowerment Society, Ghatkesar, The Indigenous Development Organization (IDO) of Gattumalla village in Bhadradri Kothagudem district, Ramdev Hospital, Kukatpally, and Give for Society, Ghatkesar, received awards.
