The government aims to integrate Ayurveda into the curriculum of healthcare in schools and universities, said Minister Ayush Prataprao Jadhav.
He said that the National Educational Research and Training Council (Ncert) and University Grants Commission (UGC) cooperate in preparing the modules for school education and university education so that the younger generation can connect with the principles of holistic health.
Some states, such as Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh, have already integrated the Indian knowledge system into school education, Jadhav said. “There are discussions with NCERT and UGC to prepare the course modules for school education and university education,” said Minister PTI recently.
Mr. Jadhav said that the Ayush Ministry focuses on evidence -based research.
High -quality clinical studies are carried out through the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRA) and other research institutions. In cooperation with WHO, the standards are set up to further strengthen the scientific credibility of Ayurvedic treatments, said Mr. Jadhav.
AYUSH Mission
Mr. Jadhav said about the competition between modern medicine and Indian medicinal practices that the aim is to develop an integrated health care model.
“Alopathy and Ayush systems complement each other, not competitors. We try to combine the benefits of both systems that provide better and more comprehensive health services through the national mission Ayush and Ayush Grid,” he said.
In the framework of government policy to strengthen public health infrastructure, within the Ayush National Mission, Ayush doctors are deployed in medical and wellness centers, especially in rural and remote areas to be more accessible.
The Ministry Ayush has given a new identity to traditional medical practices of India in the last decade, the Minister said.
“Not only did we establish Ayush’s systems with scientific evidence, but also managed to spread them to masses and gain global acceptance.
