The Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan reaffirmed the government’s obligation to strengthen women’s position in police forces through increased recruitment and widespread opportunities.
On Monday, he addressed a distribution show of 144 newly trained female police constables at the Kereral Police Academy in Thrissur. Women of the police, who developed on the downpour, participated in the show on the soil of the Academy.
“The prevention of violence against women and children remains the highest priority for this government,” Cm said. “Since the first term of the LDF government, we have focused on increasing the representation of women in strength. The creation of a female armed police battalion in 2017 was a milestone on this journey.” This initiative includes the current dose of female constables.
He noted that in the modern world, police officers are involved in all sectors of society, and the nine -month training period is essential in their preparation for this role. “As science and technology develop rapidly, it is essential that the new recruits remain updated and constantly learn,” he added.
The commander of the show was PK Geeth of Vellayani, Thiruvananthapuram, while UV ANOOJA of Vattiyoorkav served as the second commander. The main minister awarded the award to excellent cadets from various battalions.
The newly induced dose to the female battalion based in Menamculum includes 40 postgraduate, 2 with MBA titles, 78 graduates, 13 b.tech holders, 7 B.ed holders, 3 with higher secondary qualifications and one with a diploma.
Higher police officials, including the Chief of the State Police Shaikh Darvesh Sahib; ADGP armed police battalions Mr. Ajith Kumar; Commander of the female battalion was also present at the ceremony.
