The government must lead dialogue with Maoists, said D. Raja, General Secretary of India (CPI), Monday (September 29, 2025). He criticized the Interior Minister Amit Shah for making “irresponsible” notes against the left. He also accused the government of trying to move tribal people from the forests to give forest land to Industrian Gautam Adani.
At the Sunday (September 28, 2025) at the “Naxal Mukt Bharat” seminar (September 28, 2025), Mr. Shah said that India refused the ceasefire from the Maoists. He also accused the left side of the expansion of ideological support to the left wing extremism and rejected their arguments that the lack of development led to Maoist violence.
“Maoists want dialogue with the government. They proposed a ceasefire. Why does the Indian government do not accept it?” Said Raja.

After his re -election on the position of the Secretary General, Mr. He informed the media of resolutions admitted at Congress 25. Parties held in Chandigarh.
Mr. Raja criticized the government for lack of transparency and asked if the government could say how many of those killed in the ongoing Kagar operation in Chhattisgarh were “Maoists” and how many “innocent tribal people” were.
“This government is trying to move out tribal people from the forests, land and want to pass on these forest countries to people like Adani. Maritime ports were handed over to all the airports. He said.
He questioned the government statement to create “Naxal Mukt Bharat” and said, “What happened to the Mukt Bharat Congress? Tomorrow will the Communist Mukt Bharat say. We have an institution and should understand. This constitution is clear.
He called Mr. Shaha’s notes to the left parties that prolonged ideological support to Maoists as irresponsible. “I don’t know what he means to explain it.”
This story, he said, is an attempt to redefine India. “Urban Naxalites or rural naxality … They question the policy of the government of the day. But what about right -wing extremists? They want to redefine Indian nationals. They want to rewrite Indian history. Which is dangerous?” said.
More than 400 alleged Maoists have been killed by security forces since 2024 in Chhattisgarh.
