Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said on Friday (April 18, 2025) that the government is determined to make the country separately in the defense sector and has already taken several steps.
Mr. Singh, addressed by a representative of the industry in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad), said the export of defense in 2014 increased from 600 Crore to 24,000 GBP.
“Our goal is to achieve (export) 50,000 CRS by 2029-30,” he said.
He has taken several main steps to achieve self -confidence and renowned items that will be produced and imported.
Defense production is currently at 1.60 ₹ Lakh Crore and the goal is to increase it to Crrore 3 Lakh, the minister said.
In Chhatparati Sambai Nagar, he considers good potential to be a production knot, Singh said, adding: “You have a mature industrial ecosystem. Come to me with specific designs.”
