More than 3,000 people were hit by the Godavari floods, and many moved to the relief camps in the Eluru district. Food and medical camps for flood residents were established in the camps.

The district collector K. Vetriselvi instructed the Yangareddygud RDO MV Ramana, project director Drda R. Vijaya Raja and other officials to ensure food, water, medical services, electricity and other essentials in the area of auxiliary camps. “About 250 families from repacagomm and 170 Gommugud families were moved to camps,” said Mr. Vijaya Raja.
Kukunior MRO MRO RAMESH KUMAR and MRO GRO G. Satyanarayana supervised medical care and distributed medicines in camps.
R&B officials organized three boreholes in Challavarigudém camp and Tarpulins were given to those whose houses were damaged during the floods, Mrs. Ramana said.
Mrs. Vetriselvi ordered officials to stay in the camps and ensure safety in the villages until the water was released. It also urged preventive steps against the spread of portable diseases.
Although the levels of the river are falling, the collector ordered the police and employees of the floods to set up patrols and prevent the villagers from crossing the rivulet. “We arranged embossed camps at schools and universities in the verorupad. Ships are located in low -lying dwellings along the Bund River as a preventive measure,” said Mrs. Ramana Hindu.
