
The Peresendra Police in the Chickballapur district arrested a gang of seven, which allegedly stole a shipment of brand new mobile phones worth 3 ₹ Crore, which they were supposed to supply from Noida to Bengalur.
The defendants who worked as a private transport drivers were on their way to Bengalur with a shipment of 257 boxes carrying a total of 5,140 mobile phones to be delivered to various mobile stores in Bengalur. On the way they reportedly left the truck near Dhaby and escaped with phones.
Based on the complaint, the police team traceded the defendant identified as Rahul, Sakrulla, Imran, Mustafa, Yousuf, Abhijit Paul, ANOOP ROY from Haryana, Rajasthan and West Bengal and gained 57 mobile phones.
The accused sold the rest of the phones in other countries across the country. These were blocked using the Ministry of Telecommunications.
