The rush for fuel in and around Hyderabad baffled oil industry officials as the situation continued till Wednesday night despite the three national oil marketing companies pumping additional supplies.
“We have pumped in 1.5 times more stock,” said a senior official at one of the companies, who did not want to be named, and hoped the rush of customers would slow down significantly by Thursday evening.
