The four-day Shettara Santhe, a cultural festival organized by Arya Vysya Snehitara Balaga, was inaugurated at Allama Prabhu Park in Shivamogga on April 2.
The event includes an exhibition and sale of homemade products unique to the Arya Vysya community and a musical program by well-known singers. The exhibition has more than 125 stalls and many of them offer food, including snacks, sweets and spices.
Legislators DS Arun, SN Channabasappa, Dhananjay Sarji and others attended the inauguration of the event. The inaugural ceremony was followed by a musical program — titled Panchama Veda – Premada Nada. Many Shivamogga singers have presented popular Kannada and Hindi songs.

As part of the event, Srinivasa Kalyanotsava will be held on April 3 at 5 pm The organizers have invited people to attend the event in large numbers.
Several competitions for women and children will be organized on April 4 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Vasavi Mahila Sangha of Shivamogga.
On April 5, the last day of the event, Vasu Dixit will lead a bhajan jam.
