The forest department awaits permission from the higher UPs capturing the male wild elephant, which has been expected to have killed four people in the Coimbatore forest division in the last few months.
The tough called the “Rolex” by the locals, nicknamed the antagonistic figure played by actor Suriya in the film Vikram, reportedly killed one person in Coimbor and Periyanaickenpalayam Forest Ranges and two people in Boluvampatatti Forest Lange.
Forest department officials informed the public that organized a protest after the wild elephant entered Narasipuram on the outskirts of August 30 and attacked an older man that the proposal for captivity Tusker was under the department.
The head of the official, who conducted interviews with the protesters, said that the report on Tusker captured had already been sent to the ministry and the decision was probably announced within 10 days.
Demonstrators, however, said that the elephant that entered Narasipuram was another man with a single joint.
Officials told them that there were different efforts to avoid wild elephants to enter human dwellings.
“Avoid the nickname of elephants”
Meanwhile, natural enthusiasts said that the name of Tusker after the film’s antagonist was nothing but the animal could not be because it could be forced to undergo negative interactions with people for various reasons. Instead, it could be named as “CBE-T1”, which means Coimbatore Tusker 1 or other similar use. Such names do not know the elephants of the brand involved in negative interactions with humans as dishonest animals, they said.
