
The forest department was suspended by the officer of the Palode officer Sudheesh Kumar L. on Wednesday.

The suspended officer reportedly received 1 lakh 1 from the owner of the vehicle used in a smuggling operation and 45,000 GBP from the sister of one of the accused, assured her to help protect her brother from legal consequences.
The officer was originally suspended on the recommendation of forest vigilance after the accusation of corruption appeared. However, it was restored to its position after the favorable decision of the administrative tribunal of Keral. He was then sent to the Palode Range Forest office.
