The AP Food Processing Industries’ Federation (APFPIF) held its annual general meeting here on Friday where the newly elected office bearers were formally inaugurated.
In a session organized on the occasion, Chiranjeevi Choudhary, Principal Secretary to Government (Food Processing) and CEO of AP Food Processing Society G. Sekhar Babu highlighted the features of AP Food Processing Policy 2024-29 and emerging investment opportunities across the value chain.
Mr. Choudhary said that the food processing sector is one of Andhra Pradesh’s strongest growth engines and that the government is committed to enabling investments and partnerships that drive inclusive growth.
APFPIF President Potluri Bhaskara Rao said that the federation is properly focused on policy advocacy, addressing industry issues and encouraging new investment in the food processing sector, which has huge potential for value addition and job creation in the state.
He also announced the creation of a Stakeholder Advisory Committee to ensure regular engagement between government and industry representatives, thereby enabling faster resolution of policy and operational issues.
APFPIF President Velagapudi Sambasiva Rao, Vice President Prasad, General Secretary V. Vamsi, Treasurer Challa Sekhar Reddy and Joint Secretary P. Ram Mohan were present.
