The former scientist at the CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IIC) Shailaja Donempudi was appointed an important scientist (DS) to lead the BUDG Group (BDG) at the CSIR headquarters in the new Delhi.
This appointment means a historical milestone because Dr. Shailaja becomes the first woman to be intended for a post in the eight -ten and ten -year history of CSIR. Her connection with CSIR-ICT began in 1993 after completing Ph.D. In polymer chemistry from Osmania University and MSC and M. Phil of the University of Hyderabad.
During a career lasting for more than 28 years, it contributed to the field of synthesis, characterization and technology and development of polymers, the press release said.
