Dr. Singh appreciated the NIAB research team and said that in the field and available innovations they would play a key role in improving animal health, increasing livestock productivity and ensuring the livelihood of farmers. In addition, such advances also strengthen the ability of India to fight zoonotic diseases, diseases that spread from animals to humans and represent almost two thirds of new and new diseases around the world, including Covid-19.
