US immigration and customs enforcement (ICE) announced the main increase in coercive activities during the first 100 days of President Donald Trump’s second term, who arrested 66,463 illegal immigrants and removed 65,682 individuals, many of whom were convicted of criminals.
Focus on perpetrator of criminals
According to ICE, three of all four arrests included individuals in criminal records.
“Brave men and ICE women protect our family, friends and neighbors by removing the public security and threats of national security from our communities,” ICE director of the reigning Todd M. Lyons said.
Among the arrests were 2,288 members of the gang associated with organizations such as MS-13, 18th Street and Tren de Aragua. Also 1 329 individuals were charged or convicted of sexual crimes, while 498 was charged with murder or convicted.
Criminal offenses include attacks, DUI and weapon fees
ICE in detail that the criminal history of those who have been arrested in this period include:
“We are only 100 days in this administration and thanks to President Trump and secretary Noah ICE every tool he has available to enforce the immigration laws of our country and protect our communities,” Lyons said.
Nationwide enforcement
ICE attributes a large part of its operational support for extended cooperation with local and state enforcement of law. Since April 29, ICE has 579 active and waiting agreements with police and sheriffs throughout the country – including 444 new agreements signed since Trump returned to office on January 20.
“This shows the effectiveness of the approach throughout the government to promote immigration,” the agency said in its statement.
Intervention about violations and smuggling at the workplace
The ICE Investigation Investigation Investigations (HSI) division also increased the promotion of workplaces. Since January, more than 1,000 undocumented workers and fines proposed from employers accused of hiring illegal work have been arrested.
“Last week, HSI broke the human smuggling ring, which is allegedly responsible for bringing 500 to 700 illegal extraterrestrials to the US every year – extraterrestrials who have never tested the US government,” said ICE director Madison D. Sheahan.
ICE Touts “Record Settings” enforcement
ICE officials claim that the recent agency operations reflect an unprecedented obligation to promote immigration under Trump’s renewed leadership.
“This agency set a bar for arrest and removal and followed its national security mission,” Sheahan said. “Our communities become safer every day thanks to President Trump’s leadership and Minister Noem’s leadership.”
