The finance minister will present the state budget at the AP assembly on February 14

Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav will present the state budget for the financial year 2026-27 in the assembly on February 14. Agriculture Minister K. Atchannaidu will present the budget for agriculture and allied sectors on the same day.

The budget session, which began on Wednesday with Governor S. Abdul Nazeer’s address to the joint session of the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council, will continue till March 7 and conclude with cultural programs for the legislators.

The budget session schedule was finalized at the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting chaired by Chintakayala Assembly Speaker Ayyanna Patrudu on Wednesday. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and other members attended the meeting, which finalized the topics to be covered on each working day, including the presentation of the state’s annual accounts.

The Chamber of Deputies will approve the vote of thanks to the governor’s address on February 12 and 13.

The assembly will not meet on February 15 due to Mahasivaratri, which falls on a Sunday, and will not be held on February 16 either.

A general debate on the budget, followed by a vote, is scheduled for February 17 and 18. At the end of the debate, the Minister of Finance will answer.

The House will begin debating and voting on grant applications for eight days, from February 19 to March 2, covering each topic in detail. The session calendar includes holidays on February 21 and 22 (Saturday and Sunday), February 28 and March 1 (Saturday and Sunday) and March 3 due to Holi.

March 4 was set aside for additional grant applications, while March 5 is set aside for approval of the subsidy bill. March 6 was reserved for government business.

The budget session will end on March 7 with cultural activities for legislators.
