The death of a woman who died soon after she delivered a child in section C in a government mother and a Children’s Hospital in Vantamuri Colony in Belagavi on Saturday, caused protests of her family members, allegedly medical negligence.
Nikita Madar was admitted to the hospital on Friday evening for the second delivery and after giving birth the girl died the same night.
On Saturday, Nikita family members submitted protest in front of the hospital and demanded an action against doctors.
“The woman underwent a caesarean section during the first delivery and was supposed to undergo a second caesarean section on Saturday morning. However, when she developed a health complication, it was made on Friday night.
Meanwhile, after the complaints of family members, Taluk Ramesh Dangadi’s healthcare officer said that an investigation would be launched by the incident.
“If employees have made a mistake, measures will be taken against them,” he said.
