The leader of the opposition VD Satheesen ridiculed the celebrations of the fourth anniversary of the state government and pointed to the collapse of the National Highway-66 in the Coorishment, the death of people in attacks on a wild animal and a police brutality against a Dalitian woman in Thiruvananthapuram as Starkpuram.
Mr. Satheesen killed the government for playing a “claim and abdicating” in the national highway project. “This government gained recognition when things were right, but avoiding responsibility when it went wrong. The well -being of the Koriyad highway is the best example,” he said.
Where the heroes of the highway are now, he asked. He claimed that the construction of the national highway in the state was marked by insufficient responsibility and poor coordination with the authorities. “The state government cannot avoid its responsibility,” he said on Tuesday.
Mr. Satheesen said that the state government was closing his eyes on problems related to wild animals. “It is evident from the recent incident in UPPUKUM in Palakkad, where the wild elephant trampled the man to death,” he said.
“Elephants’ attacks and tiger Mauling are now old news. The government leaves people living in the hills to take care of themselves,” he said.
According to Mr. Satheesan, the suffering of the Dalitian woman in Thiruvananthapurama faces another characteristic of the government. He said it was in the continuation of the same attitude that led to the action of the police and the forest department against the rapper Vedan.
The opposition leader argued that the government had double standards in terms of reimbursement of funds for ordinary people and crushing lamps of rupees at public contact agencies for pomp and show.
Mr Satheesen criticized the government and CPI (m) for ridicule for workers who fight for their rights, while millions were owed for contracts and cooking workers.
