
On Saturday morning, a wild tusker was found in Sullakki in Sakleshpur Taluk. The inhabitants of the village found carcasses and informed the forest department. The officers arrived at the place and the veterinarians later made a post mortem during the day.
Sourabh Kumar, a representative of the forest, Hassan, said Hindu that Pachyderm was suspected of died of an electric substance. It came into contact with the live wire. “We explore death and reserve the case. The electrical inspector will also prepare an incident report,” he said.
Many parts of the Hassan district face a human-slon conflict. People died in the attacks of elephants and the forest department performs an operation to capture elephants causing difficulties.
