Illegal electric trap set for wild capers in Lazhikkadava, which on Saturday late evening requested the life of a 15 -year -old school boy and injured two more two.
It was found that the culprits had built a temporary assembly using a gaffe connected to a long bamboo pole to tap the electricity from the one -phase upper power line. “We found that the live wire was recklessly placed in the canal and represented a deadly threat to any living being that came into contact with water,” said Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) Hindu. “What we witnessed was no accident; it was a deliberate death trap determined by someone with a criminal intention,” he added.
Five young people who were hunting in the canal on Saturday evening did not know about the electricity lurking in the water. When three boys were electric, their friends at the bank caused an alarm and raced for help.
While Anantha aka Jithu lost his life, the locals saved Shana Vijay and Yadu Krishnan and rushed to the hospital. Ananthu suffered a burn injury on his body allegedly after hitting an electric wire. Postmort revealed that he died of an electric substance.
KSEB, in an official statement published on Facebook on Sunday, condemned attempts of some interests to blame the Board of Directors for the tragedy. “We have repeatedly warned against such criminal thefts. Customation of KSEB for illegal actions of private individuals is reprehensible,” said Post KSEB.
KSEB warned that the unauthorized use of electricity for electricity was illegal pursuant to Section 135 para. (E) of the 2003 electricity Act and it would be possible to punish imprisonment for up to three years and a fine.
KSEB explained that electric fences would be allowed to protect agricultural crops, only with the consent of the electric inspectorate. “It must follow the IS 302-2-76 (1999) standards using power generators with pulse generators.”
