Congress leader Pawan Khera was convened on Tuesday by the Indian Election Commission for having two voters. Khera was asked to appear in front of the panel of vote at 11:00 on Monday, September 8.
The announcement of the District Election Office in Nový Dilli came hours after Bharatiya Janata (BJP), AMIT Malviya, equalized the accusation against Khera on Tuesday and accused him of ownership of two active voter identification cards registered in separate election districts of the National City in Delhi.
“It was notified that you registered your name at a height of more than one constituency. How can you be aware that more than one election district is a criminal offense under the 1950s Act.”
“You are therefore ordered to show the reasons why you should not act against you under this law. Your answer should achieve this office by 11:00 to 8.9.2025,” the announcement said.
In response to the accusation of Malviy Kher, she said earlier that this is exactly the matter that his party emphasizes and raises questions about the work of the election commission.
Khera also demanded the CCTV shots to explore who was forced to hand over the vote from the new dilli constituency in their name. He asked what his name was still on the list, even if he watched all the procedures to delete him.
“That’s exactly what the Congress Party says. This is the question we raise when it comes to the functioning of the election commission … This list is available with BJP leaders and EC. Congress is still asking for a list, but never gets it,” Khera told the press agency or.
