The Indian Election Commission (ECI) ordered its state electoral officers to prepare for the introduction of a special intensive revision (Sir) by 30 September, signaling that the election office could start cleaning the voter as early as October or November.
At the beginning of this month, at the conference of the main election officers (CEOs) in Nový Delhi, the highest brass ES told them to be prepared for a special intensive revision in the next 10 to 15 days. But due to greater clarity, the deadline of 30 September was set, PTI reported with citing officials.
The survey body ordered the State CEOs to maintain the voters of their states, published after the last Sir, prepared.
Several main election officials have already recorded voters’ lists from their last special intensive revision on their website. For example, the website of Delhi CEO has included a list of voters since 2008, the year of its last intensive revision. Similarly, the election roles from Sir from Uttarakhand from 2006 are now available on the website of its CEO.
The last Sir in the States will serve as a date of restriction, as well as the list of voters from 2003 uses EC for intensive revision.
Most countries had the last Sir between 2002 and 2004 and almost completed the mapping of current voters with those according to the last intense revision.
The primary goal of intensive revision is to eliminate foreign illegal migrants by checking their place of birth.
