The Cabinet’s state session was discussed on Thursday by the Karnataka crowd control (managing the crowd at the events and places of the mass assembly), 2025. The bill says: “It is useful to effectively manage and control crowds at sponsored events and in the places of bulk assembly on political rally, nasty, conference, etc.” The content of the bill has not yet been completed.
Liberation from religious events
The bill, however, proposed to exclude “jatra”, “Rathotsava”, “Pallakki Utsava”, “Teppad Teru”, “URS” and other religious events concerning any religion, caste or religion.
He stated that the event organizer must apply to the Jurisdiction Police Station with details of the approximate number of participants. The Jurisdiction Police Station could change the date, time or venue by stating the reasons, he said.
