The iconic North Block building in Raisina Hills in Lutyens Dilli will no longer be home to the Ministry of the Interior (MHA). The ministry was known at almost 90 years.
This week, several MHA offices began to move to the joint central secretariat (CCS) of the building on Janpath as part of the central plan of remediation of Vista.
British era buildings-North Block and South Block-Klíčové administrative buildings such as the Office of the Prime Minister, and the Ministry of Defense, Home, Outside Affairs and Finance.
These Red-Sandstone buildings were built by British architect Herbert Baker and opened in 1921. Once all offices move from both blocks, they turn into a museum. The named “Yuge Yugeen Bharat National Museum”, will display an estimated 25,000-30,000 artifacts and is likely to be one of the largest museums in the world.
On July 17, the issued MHA command in Hindi stated that the process of moving all offices located in the northern block on CCS-3 was launched and the nodal authorities were intended for smooth transmission.
As part of the central reconstruction of Vista, the CCS center designed 10 office buildings and a conference center on the Cardya journey to suit all ministries. The first three of these office buildings are almost completed.
347 rooms for MHA
The Minister of the Interior of the Union Govind Mohan was among the first to move to the new office complex. MHA was assigned 347 rooms in the new complex.
According to the Ministry of Housing and urban affairs (I can), “the inhabitants of India undoubtedly claimed India as a headquarters after India,” he adds that the most important ministries were located in northern and southern blocks.
He stated that the aim of building CCS is to improve coordination, cooperation and synergy between the different bodies of the central government that will increase productivity and avoid the need for unnecessary traveling documents and officials from the offices extended around different parts of the city. This will also reduce overload and pollution. “The transfer of all offices of the Central Government to CCS buildings will be obtained by various ministries/ departments or their attached/ subordinate offices released rented accommodation, which saves around 1,000 crore per year,” I could.
According to the Government Order, the CCS-3 has the office of the main scientific advisor, the Ministry of Outside, oil and natural gas, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, rural development and staff departments (DOPT).
